From Classroom to Manufacturing Floor
June 25, 2020 – Join us as Amanda Patterson shares her Summit 2020 presentation and impressions of STC’s first completely online Summit Conference. In this presentation, Amanda walks through the process she used to create an error identification and editing management system geared for a one-person doc shop. The objective was to create a system in which a single technical writer could efficiently and effectively manage several large-scale projects in different phases of completion, accurately and statistically report out metrics supported documentation progress, and get meaningful feedback about content and usability of the documentation.
Takeaways include
- How to create and tailor error identification systems
- Example criteria with weighting and scaling
Open discussion following the formal presentation will address the STC Summit experience for both presenters and attendees.
