Become A Strategic Communicator 2020

August 20, 2020 – This presentation asks a key question of the audience: “Are you Strategic?” If the answer is “yes” then the content will help to apply that skill in the workplace. If the answer is “no” it will also help to see the important role that strategic thinking plays in an organization and how communicators can best facilitate that thinking and planning in the workplace. Either way we will examine the following topics:

  1. What is strategic thinking? Why is it so rare in an organization to find people who think like that?
    • Innovation
    • Strategic Planning
    • Operational Planning
  2.
  3. If you have the skill how can you hone it, and if you don’t, how can you acquire it? (Hint: It can be learned!)
  4.
  5. How communicators can successfully apply strategic thinking to advance their career and improve internal communication where they work.
