Linda Oestreich
Linda is a Society for Technical Communication (STC) Fellow and former (2007-2008) President of STC, where she served as board member for about 12 years. Linda retired in 2018 from government service at Headquarters, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. Before working there, she worked in TechComm around California and Texas, in diverse areas such as HR, strategic development, software, IT, and oil and gas. She does occasional contracting and workshops for technical communication in basic editing, creativity, information design, and leadership. Linda currently teaches editing and critical thinking at UCSD Extension. She lives in the San Diego area with her dog Jolie, where she enjoys gardening, companionship with friends, and experiencing retirement in Southern California.
