Elections for 2024

December 2023 — Elections are open until December 31. Each current chapter member may vote once for each role. Please use the email address that is on your STC account. Elected officers will assume their roles on January 1, 2024. All positions are for the 2024 calendar year.

Candidate for President

Naomi Coufal is the current chapter president. She is a Senior Technical Writer for Baxter. Naomi has her Master’s Degree in English from SUNY Fredonia, and her experience as a technical writer includes working as a member of cross-functional research and development teams, supporting sustaining engineering projects, and helping to write and edit regulatory documentation. An energetic and lighthearted person, Naomi enjoys meeting and collaborating with other technical communication professionals and has been active in the STC CNY chapter since joining in 2018.

Ariana Berry

Candidate for Treasurer

Ariana Berry is the current chapter secretary and is nominated for a dual treasurer/secretary role. She went to school for art and social science before switching brain hemispheres and doing information technology in the Air Force. After taking TechComm courses online and at local schools, she joined the Society for Technical Communication and some chapters plus earned CPTC™ status.

Donna Tunguz

Candidate for Program Manager

Donna Tunguz is the current chapter Program Manager. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management & Marketing from Cornell University. She is currently a Technical Writer with Baxter working on user instructions for medical equipment. Donna is excited to bring her past professional experience in IT and Legal to provide useful communications with complete and concise information. An outgoing introvert, Donna enjoys meeting and working with new people of all disciplines and cultures.

Candidate for Secretary
